The Shape of Absence
Photographs By: Badenov @truth_and_beauty_
These photographs were made while traveling with my partner. Shot in temporary spaces — Airbnbs, rented homes, unfamiliar rooms, places we occupied briefly and then left behind.
The body appears without a face. Identity is withheld. This reflects the experience of occupying a place without fully belonging to it — being present without claiming space, moving through environments that hold you temporarily but never know you.
The images sit in that in-between state, where presence is real, but attachment is limited.
